Eligibility  
 

The Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery provides a broad and comprehensive grounding in scientific nursing techniques and practical ground-level training.

But the nursing vocation calls for special skills apart from excellence in coursework. It requires an aptitude to care for the sick, soft-skills and an intuitive understanding of the healing process.

Hence, candidates who opt for this course must meet certain eligibility criteria.

Marital Status : Unmarried
Gender : Female and male
Age : Between 17 and 35 years (as on July 31 of the year in which the candidate seeks admission)
Language : Fluency in English (reading, writing and spoken English)

Selection Criteria
Seats : 20 seats annually
Merit : Candidates are selected on the basis of merit alone. This includes marks obtained in the Std X and XII examinations, a written entrance test and an interview. Extra-curricular activities and merit certificates, if any, are also taken into consideration.
Marks : Minimum 40 per cent aggregate in the Std XII exam
Preference : While students from all streams are welcome, preference is assigned to candidates from the Science stream
Reservation : According to RNC regulations, 50 per cent seats are set aside for candidates domiciled in Rajasthan (seats not filled during the admission process are transferred to the open category). The remaining seats are open to all.
